The Conference Secretariat was set up at the Gulf Medical College 7 years ago with a mission to organize various conferences, seminars and symposia that highlight locally relevant topics. Our aim is to complement the efforts of the Ministry of Health, Department of Health and Medical Services and Emirates Medical Association. It is one of the most proactive bodies, engaged in organizing CME/CPD programmes in the UAE, a fact that is acknowledged by the officials from the Ministry and the EMA.

The main aim of organizing such regular events is to create a platform for healthcare professionals and scientists in addressing various impending health issues facing the world in general and the Gulf countries in particular. This will also enhance contact amongst the students, faculty and practicing doctors and facilitate professional interaction in a continuing learning experience.

To design programs that develop the ability of physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other health professionals to work cooperatively for the benefit of patients.
To plan and implement continuing education programs that meet the ever-changing needs of healthcare professionals.
To be continually innovative with respect to developing both live and enduring educational programs.
To enter into agreements with other approved providers in an effort to increase the availability of quality continuing education.
To compliment efforts of the Ministry of Health in enhancing the theoretical, practical and technological efficiency of healthcare providers.
